OPTIMIZATION KIT
Optimization kit is comprised of a single substrate in all 96 multiplate wells and represents a powerful high-throughput solution for assessing enzyme concentration/activity/efficiency for enzymes/enzyme mixtures whose specificity is already known. Potential applications include batch-to-batch variation assessment in enzyme expression quality tracking, enzyme activity optimization with regard to different conditions such as pH, temperature and buffer components and many others.
OPTIMIZATION kit’s specifications
While ordering this product, you can choose one substrate from our stock: one purified biopolymer substrates or one complex biomaterial substrates.
Choose one color out of 4 for the entire plate (red, green, yellow & blue). This kit is available in three formats: 96-well filter plate, filter-tube or agar plate format.

BREWERS DREAM™ KIT
Enzymes play an important role in the beer industry from raw cereal grains and malt to the final product. Three important enzymes in brewing are: α-amylase, β-amylase, limit-dextrinase. All tree enzyme activities are currently measured in separate assays that are cumbersome, tedious and expensive. We have developed an integrated assay where these can be measured in one assay.
CUSTOM LAYOUT KIT
This kit provides the customers with a possibility to choose the number of substrates that they want from our stock and their own layout plus coloring of the plate. For that to be defined they need to contact our scientists.
MIXED-SUBSTRATE KIT
One of the advantages of GlycoSpot technology is that you can combine pure substrates in one well or tube, and thereby measure how your enzyme(s) behave towards a mix of substrates. You can have up to 3 substrates mixed in one well, as their different color allows different absorbance measurements at their peak value. Individual enzyme activity can be resolved through their colored products even when multiple substrates are present. This kit enables you to set up to 288 experiments at once.
CUSTOM SYNTHESIS KIT
Custom biomaterial substrates are unique substrates produced from raw biological material or biomass. The kit allows our customers to go out of our provided substrate stock and create their own substrate. Usually, from the material that they want to experiment with putting enzymes on (like orange pulp, milled malt or flour, wheat straw, etc.). It is useful when you want to optimize concentrations of the already used enzymes or try different enzyme combinations in order to get better results. If you have any ideas, don’t hesitate – we can make substrates out of almost anything!
OCUSTOM SYNTHESIS kit’s specifications
We have had great success in producing responsive custom biomaterial substrates from:
- raw plant material;
- pre-treated biomass samples used in bioindustry;
- raw materials used in the food and beverage industry;
- biological material from other organisms such as animals, fungi, and algae.
Custom biomaterial substrates add an additional dimension to information gathered on a specific enzyme’s activity regarding its relative specificity/activity with respect to its target in pure form or in a complex natural form.
